Trilogy offers a variety of yoga classes in La Jolla including vinyasa, aerial, restorative, meditation, prenatal, lyra, aerial for kids, power vinyasa, yin and ongoing yoga workshops in San Diego from global yoga teachers.

AERIAL CLASSES

We offer numerous aerial yoga classes from restorative stretching to strength building and advanced tricks. Trilogy aerial yoga is suitable for all ages and bodies, from beginners to advanced yoga students. We also offers private aerial and Lyra classes for small groups - either outside on our rooftop overlooking La Jolla, or in our indoor spacious yoga studio!

Vinyasa CLASSES

Flow on our rooftop studio and in our large Earth Room which holds over 60 yogis, or sweat in our Moon room - a gently heated Infrared studio - a therapeutic way to detoxify. Every vinyasa class focuses on breath to movement in some capacity and can include a spiritual, healing or strength aspect dependent on the teacher. Inhale, exhale, repeat.

Restorative CLASSES

We focus on healing the body and mind through deep relaxation and release of mental, emotional, and physical stress. Class combinations include Yin Yoga (a more restorative from of yoga) with Reiki (a form of energy healing). Yin Yoga postures gently stretch, while Reiki helps remove stagnant energy.

vINYASA YOGA CLASSES


VINYASA

Our Vinyasa classes perfectly balance attention to alignment and a fluid and graceful flow. Connecting poses together and flowing with the breath creates a dance-like movement that builds heat in the body and calmness in the mind. After the initial warm-up, a creative sequence of standing postures and sun salutations will fill the majority of the class. Sequences include warrior poses, back bends and some basic balances and inversions. Each class ends with deep stretches and a relaxing savasana.

LEVEL: All Levels. 



HATHA

Our Hatha yoga class differs from Vinyasa as poses are held a little longer. Mindfulness within the pose is encouraged as you explore the connection to body and breath within the poses, rather than between poses. Expect thoughtful and dynamic series, created to build mental and physical strength. Inversions and balances may be explored. These classes will NOT be filled with repetitive chaturangas. The combination of powerful poses, softened at the end with deep stretching and Savasana, creates a fulfilling and serene experience.

LEVEL: This class is suitable for all levels. Classes are challenging yet accessible and provide a thorough introduction to a Hatha-style class.

VINYASA + MEDITATION (75 MIN)

Our Vinyasa + Meditation classes provide the ultimate mind-body connection by combining one hour of movement with 15-minutes of savasana, pranayama, and meditation. Each class is a perfect balance between attention to alignment and a fluid and graceful flow. Connecting poses together and flowing with the breath creates a dance-like movement that builds heat in the body and calmness in the mind. After the initial warm-up, a creative sequence of standing postures and sun salutations will fill the majority of the class. Sequences include warrior poses, back bends and some basic balances and inversions. Each class ends with deep stretches and a relaxing savasana before your final meditation.

LEVEL: This is an intermediate level class that moves at a faster pace than our Vinyasa. More advanced poses will be offered for those who wish to take the practice further. For those who are new to practicing yoga, we recommend taking our Vinyasa class.


INFRARED HEATED POWER VINYASA

Our Infrared Heated Power Vinyasa classes are intended to give you a challenging yet accessible workout. These classes will include a variety of standing poses, basic balances, back bends, twists and a good amount of strength-building poses. Each class will be slightly different, depending on the teacher's unique style. You can count on a good workout, with a blissful and well-deserved savasana to get you ready to face the day ahead. Short but sweet!

LEVEL: This class is suitable for all levels. Although the class is physically challenging, it will consist of more basic poses and transitions. Complicated and advanced inversions will not be explored in these classes.

Infrared heat is lightly heated and has many therapeutic effects on the human body. These include detoxification, pain relief, reduction of muscle tension, relaxation, improved circulation, weight loss, skin purification, lowered side effects of diabetes, boosting of the immune system and lowering of blood pressure.

VIN YIN (VINYASA + YIN)

This class will begin with an all-levels Vinyasa flow to build heat in the body with attention to alignment and fluidity, and a conscious connection to the breath. This dance-like movement will be followed by a juicy Yin Yoga sequence, focused on healing the body and mind through deep relaxation and stillness to release mental, emotional, and physical stress. Yin postures are generally held for 3 to 5 minutes, and are incredibly effective for creating space and promoting healing in both the body and the mind. A perfect balance of Yang & Yin!

LEVEL: Suitable for all levels. Beginners welcome.

PRENATAL YOGA

Enjoy the many physical and emotional benefits of yoga in a safe, nurturing environment. Sequences and postures are selected and modified specifically to prepare the mother for the birthing experience while nurturing the connection with her baby. Prenatal Yoga is a wonderful way to nourish you and your baby physically and mentally.

Connect with your local yoga community on our beautiful outdoor rooftop yoga deck.  Each week features a different teacher, each with their own unique style and emphasis. Variations and modifications will be available. Suitable for all levels. COME AND HAVE FUN!!!

AERIAL YOGA CLASSES

*Limited Capacity* You MUST reserve your spot online before coming to class. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get set up. Students arriving after the class has started may risk losing their reservation. 

AERIAL YOGA L1

This class will flip your perspective, heal your body, and begin to explore your adventurous side! By moving into various postures in the aerial hammock, you will build core strength, achieve better alignment, and experience spinal decompression and full body relaxation. You will spend time both on the floor and in the hammock increasing range of motion, rebooting the circulatory system, and having fun. Modifications are used if necessary. This is a safe and highly therapeutic class. First timers welcome! Suitable for all levels. Please bring a yoga mat to this class. We offer mat rentals for $2. 

LEVEL: L1 - All Levels.



AERIAL 2 YOGA L2

This intermediate aerial yoga class focuses on building strength and flexibility, and offers opportunity for dynamic movement through a variety of aerial yoga poses.

Movements include core and upper-body strengthening exercises and deep stretches to improve flexibility. You will work towards building a fluid sequence, moving with grace and intention as you begin to explore more dynamic and advanced moves. Expect to see new variations to the basic Aerial Yoga poses, you will be challenged to find new ways to move in the fabric! You will continue to discover your own self expression through movement.

LEVEL: Intermediate Class - STRICTLY NO BEGINNERS - You must take at least 5 Aerial Yoga classes before signing up to this class!



AERIAL LYRA (Hoop)

The Lyra is a steel hoop that is suspended from the rig. It is both an art form and an amazing and fun way to exercise.

The class will include a warm up, strength training and stretching. You'll learn at your own pace and interest level. Beginners will focus on proper body position, muscle usage, basic positions, and basic balances. You will learn how to move from different positions with grace and ease while gaining strength and control.

More advanced students will learn more difficult skills, choreography and artistry. As your strength and confidence increase, you'll be amazed at what you are capable of doing.

It is important to wear clothing that covers the backs of your knees and under your arms. You will want a shirt that can be tucked in to give your back protection. Long stretch pants or footless tights and a tight-fitting top are suggested. Tighter-fitting clothing that gives you full range of motion is best. Shorts are not recommended since the back of your knees will be on the bar, and loose clothing may get in the way.

Please bring a yoga mat to this class for the initial warm up.

LEVEL: Moderate to Advanced (aerial experience is suggested).

BEGINNER YOUTH AERIAL (ages 7-12)

This playful and fun class teaches kids to work through ongoing movement with stretches, balancing skills, strength, flexibility, body-awareness and coordination.

This dynamic class introduces kids to circus work and body art movement, for those ready this class will introduce basic flips and tricks. Kids aerial yoga is FUN, playful, and a creative way for kids to build accomplishment skills while exercising their mind and connecting with their body.

Classes will include stretching, strength building, working up to tricks and often some interactive games using the body and mind! 60 min class.

PLEASE NOTE: If your child is aged 6 you can bring them to attend the class but we would require the parent to stay next to their child for guidance and support. The body awareness of a 6 year old is still developing and having a guardian there to assist, especially with some inversions or climbs will give them the support and confidence, they need!

LEVEL: L1 - recommended for beginners and above.


YOUTH AERIAL ADVANCED L2 (ages 7-12)

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

This level two class will move at a faster pace than a beginner class because the children are expected to know the basic inversions already. New dynamic tricks will be layered throughout the class, expect to fly high and create all sorts of shapes with our bodies and the fabric!

This playful and fun class teaches kids to work through ongoing movement with stretches, balancing skills, strength, flexibility, body-awareness and coordination.

Classes will include stretching, strength building, working on new flips, tricks and transitions.

Your child must take 10 level 1 classes before attending this class! Level 1 classes are Tuesdays @4pm and Sundays @1.30pm. LETS FLY!!


AERIAL DANCE L3

This is a high-energy, fast-moving class where experienced aerial students can have a safe and supportive space to be creative, enhance their skills, and learn new ways to connect moves to music. As a group, you will learn, practice, and "perform" a full aerial dance routine - all in one hour! We will link poses together and learn a more stylized and artistic way to move in the hammock. Routines are made to be challenging and will incorporate many different advanced tricks, flips, and skills. Hammocks are hung from a single point and on a spinner, which allows for freer movement.


LEVEL: This class is ADVANCED best for students who have taken at least 10 aerial hammock classes, including some tricks and flips. To attend, students must be confident with the following skills unassisted: inverting in belt wrap, standing in hammock, diaper wrap, cupid wrap, holding own body weight and hanging from fabric for at least 10 seconds. 


AERIAL PILATES

Aerial Pilates uses the aerial silk to act as a Pilates reformer to take your Pilates practice to new heights! Pilates is a form of repeated low-impact yet endurance-focused exercises. This class will be sure to give you a workout as Pilates aims to strengthen and lengthen your muscles.

LEVEL: L1 - recommended for beginners and above.

AERIAL POWER FLOW

This class is a high intensity class focused on building strength and offering a great physical challenge for those seeking to push themselves and their practice to the next level.
The class will move through different Aerial Yoga postures creating a full body body workout, with a lot of focus on the core and upper body strengthening. Expect repetitive movements to target certain muscle groups and prepare to break a sweat! This class is fun, playful, high energy and will leave you feeling energized and alive! There will always be options to modify, creating an accessible class for students of all levels! This is a great class to attend if you want to work towards our advanced flips and tricks classes.

ALL LEVELS: Suitable for beginners and advanced students. Expect to be challenged!

AERIAL FLIPS & TRICKS L1

This class is focused on tricks and flips using the aerial hammock to introduce and expand upon fundamental moves and reach new levels of strength. This class demands you to start exploring your body and mind connection.

This aerial yoga class focuses on building strength and stamina through a variety of conditioning exercises. Movements include core and upper-body strengthening exercises and deep stretches to improve flexibility. Strengthen and tone your body in preparation for more advanced Aerial classes. This class will be a very challenging work out. A great class to build strength for our tricks classes. Please bring a yoga mat to this class. We offer mat rentals for $2.

LEVEL: L1 - minimum of 3 or more aerial classes completed at Trilogy Sanctuary.

AERIAL FLIPS & TRICKS L2

Important: LEVEL: L2 - minimum of five L2 aerial classes completed at Trilogy Sanctuary.

This class is focused on tricks and flips using the aerial hammock to introduce and expand upon fundamental moves and reach new levels of strength. This class demand you to start exploring your body and mind connection.

RESTORATIVE YOGA CLASSES - YIN | REIKI | AERIAL | VINYASA

AERIAL LOW FABRIC DEEP STRETCH

This class combines both active and restorative stretches to create more flexibility in the muscles and greater range of motion for the joints. This full body stretch class will feature long holds and repetition through movement to get deep into muscles that need to be released.

This class is perfect for those looking to gain more flexibility and to release stress and tension in the body and joints. The class will flow through different areas of the body, using the low level fabric as both a support and a tool to allow full release of the muscles. After a gentle warm up, the class will peak with some active and powerful stretches and then end with a relaxing slow paced restorative style of movement with the support of props to allow deep relaxation in the body and mind.

All levels welcome!

LOW FABRIC RESTORE (AERIAL)

The intention of this class is to release stress in the body and create calm in the mind.

Using the aerial yoga hammock as both a support and prop, we will move gently and mindfully through a range of poses that will provide deep release for the body and encourage our minds to slow down and be more present. Poses will be held longer, with an encouragement to move gently with the breath. Think yin style yoga, in a hammock. Props will be used for extra support and comfort throughout the class. These classes are intelligently sequenced to be gentle, and calming, it is a very therapeutic and mindful aerial yoga class. By moving at a slower pace, you will enable your body to open up not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

With the fabrics set to knee height, the inversions are much gentler and less intense than those that we do in the regular Aerial classes with hip height fabric. This class is great for beginners, and if you are looking to stretch and relax and decompress then this class is for you! All ages, all bodies welcome.

YIN & SOUND HEALING

Our Yin classes focus on healing the body and mind through deep relaxation and release of mental, emotional, and physical stress. Yin Yoga postures gently stretch and rehabilitate connective tissues. This class is spent mostly on the ground, with only stretching poses, each pose held for 3 to 5 minutes. It can be more of a mental challenge rather than physical as it forces you to slow down and be still - something that the majority of us find very difficult! This class is accompanied by sound healing, using instruments like the crystal bowls to energetically unwind and relax the body.

LEVEL: Suitable for all levels. Beginners welcome.


RESTORATIVE YOGA

This restorative class will guide you through a gentle sequence with longer holds and deeper postures. Moving at a slower pace with attention to breath, alignment, and self-care will be emphasized, as well as chanting and meditation. Props will be encouraged to assist in creating a relaxing environment best suited for the individual body and needs. Both dynamic and static postures will be explored, encouraging adaptability and release of expectations. You will learn to listen to your body, quiet the mind, and open the heart, as you leave feeling nourished and relaxed.

LEVEL: Suitable for all levels. Beginners welcome.


YOGA NIDRA

Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a powerful meditative practice in which practitioners move through the koshas, or energetic layers that house the soul, to unite the conscious, subconscious, unconscious, and superconscious minds. During yoga nidra, practitioners enter the theta wave stage of sleep and experience deep relaxation. Nidra offers lots of healing benefits such as stimulating the production of HGH - restoring the body, improved sleep, release of tension and pain, and has also proven to be supportive for those who experience PTSD, depression, and anxiety. During this class, participants will be lead through a slow flow to release excess energy before dropping into a deep meditation combined with sound therapy.

LEVEL: Suitable for all levels. Beginners welcome.

KUNDALINI

An uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices, our Kundalini classes incorporate movement, dynamic breathing techniques, meditation, and the chanting of mantras, such as Sat Nam, meaning "truth is my identity." The goal is to build physical vitality and increase consciousness.

LEVEL: Suitable for all levels. Beginners welcome.

QI GONG

Qigong is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing, and movement exercises. The aim of Qigong is to promote the movement of Qi (energy) in the body. This is done by opening certain gates and stretching and twisting energy channels. A key point in Qigong practice is relaxation and deep breathing, both of which are prerequisites to allow Qi to flow.

LEVEL: Suitable for all levels. Beginners welcome.

HANDSTANDS

Our Handstand class is designed to get you upside down. You’ll work hard to develop the strength needed to hold inversions on your own. Expect an hour of mobility work, core strengthening, handstand conditioning, and active flexibility. Build stronger and more stable joints to find freedom in all ways. Eventually, find a moment of flight as you lift yourself upside down, experiencing complete presence while balancing on your hands.

LEVEL: No handstand experience is necessary, just a willingness to work hard and have fun.
